Rector’s Welcome Message                     Chair's Welcome Message

It is my great honour to welcome you to the University of Craiova as the host of two major scientific events: the 16th edition of the International Exergy, Energy and Environment Symposium (IEEES-2025) and the 16th edition of the International Conference on Hydrogen Production (ICH2P-2025).

Being one of the leading universities in Romania and a respected higher education institution in Europe, we believe in scientific research that has global relevance and local applicability. The permanent synergy between fundamental, multidisciplinary, and applied research is what makes us ready to react to the challenges of our most dynamic world. We build our commitment to provide the new generations of engineers, chemists, physicists, economists, or artists on the values of inclusion, openness, transparency and academic integrity.

Today, more than ever before, international collaboration is at the core of scientific advancement and these two events are proof that universities will always be the pillars of human progress.

Prof. Cezar Ionuț SpÃŪnu, PhD

Rector of the University of Craiova

We are delighted to invite you to The 16th International Exergy, Energy and Environment Symposium (IEEES-2025) and The 16th International Conference on Hydrogen Production (ICH2P-2025) will be co-hosted in Craiova, Romania. The host organizers, National Institute for Research-Development and Testing in Electrical Engineering ICMET-Craiova and University of Craiova promise a synergistic event that will remain permanently in the memory of the participants. The event aims to bring together academics, researchers, scientists, technocrats, and practicing engineers, for an open discourse on disciplines ranging from energy to environment. Both scientific events hosted in various countries: Australia, Canada, China, Croatia, Egypt, France, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Qatar, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Korea, TÞrkiye, United Arab Emirates. After the successful 2019 edition of the International Conference on Hydrogen Production six years ago at Cluj-Napoca, it now returns to Romania, to Craiova, together with the International Symposium on Exergy, Energy and Environment.

IEEES-2025 and ICH2P-2025 promise to be exceptional events, expanding their reach with enhanced technical content, networking opportunities, and a comprehensive social program.

Participants in the symposium and conference will have the opportunity, in addition to seeing and meeting prestigious scientists, researchers, or professors, to attend one of the most prestigious cultural events specific to the winter holidays, The Craiova Christmas Market, always among the top three events in Europe.

Ioan IORDACHE, PhD

ICMET Craiova, General Manager

On Behalf of the Organizing Committee, Symposium & Conference Chair

ICMET Conference 2025

As a result of the multitude of common elements that emphasize their academic, scientific and technical prestige, this year both The 16th International Exergy, Energy and Environment Symposium (IEEES-16) and The 16th International Conference on Hydrogen Production (ICH2P-2025) will be co-hosted in Craiova, Romania. The host organizers, ICMET Craiova and University of Craiova promise a synergistic event that will remain permanently in the memory of the participants.

The co-hosted events aim to bring together academics, researchers, scientists, technocrats, and practicing engineers, for an open discourse on disciplines ranging from energy to environment.

IEEES began since 2003. It has become a prominent event in the field, fostering international collaboration and the exchange of knowledge on energy, exergy, and environmental topics.

ICH2P is a well-established event in the hydrogen energy field, with the first edition being held in 2009. It’s a multi-disciplinary conference focused on hydrogen production, technology, and related research

The events have been hosted in various countries: Australia, Canada, China, Croatia, Egypt, France, Greece, India, Italy Japan, Qatar, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Korea, TÞrkiye, United Arab Emirates.

The symposium and the conference will include keynote speeches by invited speakers, regular papers presented in oral sessions, panel discussions, special sessions on selected topics and poster sessions. There will also be social and technical tours.

International Exergy, Energy and Environment Symposium (IEEES) and International Conference on Hydrogen Production (ICH2P) are key events initiated by Professor Ibrahim Dincer and his colleagues to highlight the state-of-the-art research going on in the area of exergy, energy, environment and hydrogen production and associated technologies.

Venue: The events (IEEES-16 and ICH2P-2025) will be held at the University of Craiova, www.ucv.ro/en/, in Craiova, Romania, being organized by: National Institute for Research-Development and Testing in Electrical Engineering ICMET and University of Craiova.
